i think an update needs to be given to my last review. if you're sophisticated, and would like a leisure experience that includes live music, and top shelf drinks served by professional bartenders and you happen to be downtown cedar rapids. the piano lounge is the bar you're looking for.

This is a fun bar with great martinis and entertainment. Acoustic Thursdays rock!

I didn't find the drinks to be any more expensive then Iowa City. But then again I don't drink anything fancy. The atmosphere was very laid back and the entertainment was great. I only make it out a few times a month but always end up there after dinner with the wife. The entertainment has always been top notch and entertaining for the 5 bucks I throw in at the door. It's the only night life I recommend to new comers.

Wow - we were there Friday and it was great fun. Drinks weren't cheap but not real expensive either compared to other downtown places. Piano player was really good - lots of requests and dancing. Half-price martinis and wine if you get there early too :)

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is for the price; they aren't cheap. The Piano Lounge is the only bar I frequent in Cedar Rapids, the atmosphere is excellent, and the bartenders are great. I recommend asking the bartender Ryan for a drink called "California Cocaine"

The Piano Lounge is a great place to find wonderful entertainment. The atmosphere is friendly, classy and fun! They have great happy hours. I suggest a drink called "Bishop". The bartenders and waitresses are the greatest.

Live music some nights, dead crowd others. Tad on the spensive side for C.R. nights...thursday's half priced martini's are a good way to high light an upscale evening.
