The place is up for sale. I wouldn't want to own a failing, pathetic "dance club" either. $495,000 and "one of the excellent dance clubs in Cedar Rapids" is yours, plus the adjoining Blarney Stone.

I have been going to the Element for 3 years now. I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff is friendly. If I have a problem of any sort they are there to try and fix the problem as quick as possible.

I have been to Element several times. In the beginning the service was great and the people were super nice, but then it started to get really bad. I stopped going for awhile because of it, but recently it seems like they are starting to get their act together. There are a few bouncers that could use an ego check and the DJ could play more up to date music, but all in all it's a fun place to go. There are not a lot of dance bars in CR so this is where we usually end up and I think it's fine. If this bar wants to stay open then they need to remember that the customer comes first no matter what. Not when they feel like it. For all those people that got crappy service I ask you to give it another shot because it really can be a fun place to go. The drink specials should for sure go back to $1, not up to $2!!!!! I would definetly change that one!!!

I went out the other day with a bunch of ladies for a bachelorette party. The sixteen of us ended up at this bar in Cedar Rapids called "Element." Because of the poor set-up we ended up getting double charged cover for one of the girls. We politely let the staff know about this little mistake. They responded by saying that it was not their policy to refund the cash. One of the girls told the staff that the mistake just happened and that it was due to that fact that several people were taking money and one person was stamping hands. They refused to refund the measly $5. I was outraged! We brought sixteen girls into the establishment and they wouldn't correct their own mistake, even after we found the owner. How classy...

We're new to Cedar Rapids and just checked out this dance club. My first impressions were great. It seemed like a lively atmosphere and the $1 drink specials was incredible. Our visit was seriously marred however when I tried to get some drinks from one of the bartenders that called himself "Davin". I'm the type of person that regularly tips bartenders after they've mixed me a good drink or have a great personality and service in general. Well I ordered two drinks for my wife and I and upon handing Davin the required $2 he says to me, "That's IT?! A measely two dollars?!" I asked him how much they cost and he said one dollar each and thanks for the great tip. He proceded to say that he hoped I choked on the drinks. Let me tell you, I do NOT tip service like that! A guy next to me said this Davin fellow treats him and others like that all the time. I don't know how he can still work there with a horribly attitude like that.
